H_A_H

born in 1997- dead in 1999

H_A_H was born in January 1997, when Volpi (samplings, sequencing and mixing) and Hue (screams, vocals, some sequencing and mixing) joined to build a sonic project to push out the respective inner suffering and dark moods.
The resulting sound is sometimes dark and resigned, sometimes hard and violent, reflecting depression and blind harsh revolt against we don’t know what, the only possible behaviour when hope and trust in the concept of humanity are lost... or never born.

The coldness of sound is the direct consequence of the compositive process, based on the employment of noises and samples generated by random through computer software and hardware, obtaining audio material that we join to obsessive rythms and sad melodies, stolen and distorted by our operations. The sterile communication between the group’s members is colder than the songs, because we just exchange data through discs, web and tapes. Often, one of us just doesn’t know what his friend is doing with his files. Sometimes the distorted vocals are pasted on the instrumental part with the maximum of mechanical professionality. We have no sampler, no midi, no instruments. Just MS-Dos computers and microphones. We work as an industry, not as artists do.

But we like what we do, and we always put the trust in each others.
